Social Program

The ISVC2023 social programme brought delegates together during the congress, held in Seville from March 6–10, 2023.

Beyond the scientific sessions of the 10th International Sheep Veterinary Congress, the social programme offered delegates a chance to connect with colleagues from across the globe. Held in Seville from 6 to 10 March 2023, these gatherings brought together veterinarians, researchers, producers and industry representatives in relaxed surroundings, encouraging the exchange of ideas that often continues well after formal presentations end.

The programme opened on the Monday evening with a welcome reception at a riverside venue in the Andalusian capital, giving arrivals time to settle in and to meet the organising committee. Informal conversation over refreshments set a friendly tone for the days ahead, and reflected the congress theme of international cooperation within the sheep and goat veterinary community.

Mid-week evenings featured an opening dinner and an international evening with dinner, both hosted in characteristic Sevillian settings where regional cuisine and hospitality shaped the experience. Shared tables placed delegates from different countries side by side, and the accompanying social programme for partners and accompanying persons provided opportunities to explore the historic city and its surroundings.

The congress concluded with a gala dinner, closing a week that combined plenary sessions, oral presentations, poster discussions and keynotes with a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. For those unable to attend in person, the technical secretariat in Barcelona remained the point of reference for materials and general enquiries about the event and future meetings.
